Guidelines for Effective Web Design

No matter what you are designing your website for there are some basic guidelines that you should follow to make it stand out from the crowd:

  • Attractive and Interactive: You need to find a way to make your site more attractive and interactive because people want to interact.
  • Color Combinations: Your website should use an effective color combination that is appropriate for your targeted audience. Choose two or three colors that go well together. Do not choose anything too dark or too light, especially for your background. It makes the text very hard to read.
  • Easy Navigation: Your website should have a simple and easy navigation. Links should be clearly visible so that visitors know exactly where to go to get the information they came for.
  • Contact Information: Make sure your visitors know how to contact you if they have questions or comments. Make your 'contact us' button easy to see, do not hide it at the bottom of the Web page.
  • Load Time: Make sure your website should load in 2 or 3 seconds. Keep the use of flash and graphics to a minimum. Not only can they be annoying, they also require more time to load. People are impatient when surfing the web, and if a website does not load within a few seconds they will quickly go on to the next one.
  • Browser Compatibility: Make sure that the design works in every web browser and under the most common resolutions.

I’m really lucky and so glad that after surfing the web for a long time I have found out this information.I've been doing some research on which top seo company would be the best for me. I'm really looking for a company that knows what they're doing and have me and my site's best interest in mind. I figure they'll do well if my work is doing well. One of the places I'm looking into is www.bergstrom-seo.com. I was wondering if you've ever dealt with them and what your opinion of them is. I'm kind of nervous about just jumping in and working with a company before I get other people's opinions on them. I really like to hear about others' experiences. Working with a top seo company is new to me so I'd rather use good judgement than just a gut feeling when deciding who to work with.
